A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.– Louis Nizer
I enjoy solving technical and aesthetic challenges that are faced by designers, architects and manufactures in a variety of settings My experience working in different trades fashioning objects made of wood, stone and metal allows me to have a sense of how these different materials and moving parts will all come together, achieving the desired outcome, on time, and within budget.
This multi-trade path I have taken has given me the opportunity to consult and collaborate with talented architects, skilled craftsmen, wonderful artists, musical instrument builders, antique restorers, yacht builders, stone carvers, leather and metal workers here in the USA and abroad.
My process of intuitive thinking outside the box, utilizing modern technology based in traditional techniques, seems to elevate the perceived value of any given project. I enjoy bringing these skills and mindset to the forefront, creating well made things of beauty.

Collaborations, Fine art and Public art
Larger projects such as public art, church organs, boat building, or architectural installations require strong vision, funding, and a cohesive team to complete. The many I have led or been involved with, have been exciting and fulfilling projects for me, with more happening in the future. Public art is becoming more interesting for me with the possibility of scaling up ideas that hold messages as well as beauty.
